  Séverine Sofio    is a CNRS Researcher, specialized in the historical sociology of the visual arts and the social history of artists in 18^th- and 19^th century France. She is also particularly interested in the translation and transnational circulation of social science. She is co-chief editor of the open access journal Biens symboliques/Symbolic Goods and member of the SSH committee of Episciences, a platform for overlay journals.
